Alice Lou Rhodes Stover, 81, of High Point, N.C., formerly of Mount Hope, went to be with her heavenly father on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008, at High Point Regional Hospital in High Point.
Born Aug. 27, 1927, at Packs Branch, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Noel Addison and Melva Williams Rhodes.
Mrs. Sto-ver was a faithful member of the Packs Branch Baptist Church. She attended Pax Elementary School and was a graduate of Mount Hope High School.
A homemaker, wife and mother, Alice loved to quilt.
Her husband, Ira Willis Stover, two sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.
Survivors include her sons, Willis Stover and wife, Laurie, of High Point, N.C., and Ronald Rhodes of Ohio; sister, Lois White of Ohio; and sister-in-law, Ruth Rhodes of Ohio.
Also surviving are three grandsons, Michael and Cody Stover and Ron Rhodes Jr.; and two great-grandchildren as well as many other relatives.
Services will be on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Tyree Funeral Home, in Mount Hope, with Rev. Harmon Davis officiating. Burial will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
Michael Stover, Stanley Stover, Cody Stover, Rocky Stover, Raymond Stover and Randy Brooks will serve as pallbearers.
