It is a blessing to share this Lord’s Day with you and we are glad you chose to wor-ship with us. For those visiting, we are honored to have you. Please fill out a “Visitor’s Card” located in the pew and place it in the offering plate later in the service. If you do not have a home church, please join us tonight and this week in our services. The New Year of 2024
Life is like a calendar, when a page is turned, it’s gone. And no matter what you do next week, no yesterdays will dawn.
Do not pray for easy lives;
pray to be stronger men!
Do not pray for tasks equal to your powers,
pray for powers equal to your tasks.
~Phillips Brooks
Children Learn What They Live
If children live with hostility, they learn to fight.
If children live with ridicule, they learn to be shy.
If children live with tolerance, they learn to be patient.
If children live with encouragement, they learn confidence.
If children live with praise, they learn to appreciate.
If children live with fairness, they learn justice.
If children live with security, they learn faith.
If children live with approval, they learn to like themselves.
If children live with acceptance and friendship, they learn to find love in the world.
~Dorothy Law Nolte
Thoughts for the Day
The greatest handicap: fear.
The best day: today.
The most useless asset: pride.
The greatest mistake: giving up.
The greatest comfort: work well done.
The most disagreeable persons: the complainers.
The worst bankruptcy: loss of enthusiasm.
TRUST
Sure, it takes a lot of courage to put things in God’s hands
To give ourselves completely, our lives, our hopes, our plans;
To follow where He leads us and make His will our own,
But all it takes is foolishness to go the way alone.
Live with God and you will often find cause to speak. of Him.
