Dear God, please bless our little child
He is starting school today;
He is half afraid, yet wants to go. . .
And yet wants to stay.
Protect him, Lord, and keep him safe,
And still that trembling lip.
And shield him from all other eyes
In case a tear should slip.
And help him make new little friends;
Be brave throughout the day.
And have his teacher understand
His gentle little ways.
Oh Lord, please bless our little child
And calm those anxious fears;
He is so precious and so young
Just a few short tender years.

Catching her in the act, a grandmother confronted her 3-year old grand-daughter.
“Are you eating your little sister’s candy?”
“No,” the 3-year-old innocently re-plied, “I’m helping her share.”
